Staff Roles and Responsibilities
Meet our Inter-professional Team Members
Our team of health care and community providers work together with administrative staff to deliver services and programs that meet the unique needs of our communities.
Executive Director - Cate Melito
Provides overall leadership and management to the organization. Implements Board policies and strategic directions.
Program Co-ordinator
Oversees the delivery of service throughout Oxford County. Leads the development and implementation of health services, health education and promotion programs.
Administrative Assistant - Carrie Innes Olah
Offers executive support services to the Board, its Committees and Executive Director.
Medical Secretary/Receptionist:
Operates and maintains appointments, chart and document management, and third party billing systems. Conducts clerical, administrative support and reception functions: Welcomes clients at the reception desk and starts the registration process.
In these teams, salaried professionals will work together in a collaborative practice to address the health needs of their clients.

Dietitian
Helps people eat well and live well.
A Dietitian has expertise in food and nutrition and provides support to people to eat well, maintain healthy weights, and follow healthy eating programs when living with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems and during pregnancy.
Physician
Treats illness and helps people learn how to keep well and feel healthier.
Provide high quality medical care to people of all ages who do not already have a family doctor.
Evaluates and treats medical problems.
Identifies and gives advice about risk factors for disease.
Nurse Practitioner
Treats illness and helps people learn how to keep well and feel healthier.
Provides high quality medical care to people of all ages who do not already have a family doctor.

Identifies and gives advice about risk factors for disease.
A Nurse Practitioner is a specialized nurse who focuses on holistic health care, health promotion, disease prevention and community health development.
Registered Nurse
Provides primary care services including nursing assessments, health education/counselling, history taking, follow-up care and health promotion.
Therapist
Offers counselling and therapy when people need help coping with stress, difficulties at school, caring for a sick family member, and dealing with a severe or unexpected illness.
Involved with group work, and individual counselling as well as referrals to other resources.
The WACHC Community Health Services team will include health promoters, community outreach worker, dietitian and social worker/therapist:
Health Promoters
Co-ordinates and supervises the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Centre's health education and promotion programs.
Community Outreach Worker
Leads, assists and/or supports action on community health issues.
Collaborates with members of the community and organizations to identify, amplify and solve health issues through program development, public education, outreach, advocacy and community action.
Dietitian
Provides nutritional care functions.
Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates programs for individuals, families and the community to promote better nutrition.
Therapist
Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates programs for individuals, families and the community to promote mental health and well-being.
